Our Seattle/Bainbridge trip could not have been more thrilling!
We had three days of coaching and play at Beacon Hill in Seattle, sharpening our games, laughing at our misses, and celebrating those winning shots that always feel so good.

From there, we made the pilgrimage every pickleball lover dreams of — Bainbridge Island, the birthplace of the sport. Stepping onto those historic courts felt like walking on hallowed ground, connecting us back to where it all began.
The trip wouldn’t have been complete without some competition. At the Seattle Metro Classic tournament, Ellen and I managed to play some of the best pickleball of our lives… and, well, some of the worst too! That’s the beauty of the game — the highs, the lows, and the resilience to come back for the next point. We also got to watch some really great women's Senior Pro play!
Off the court, we enjoyed fantastic food, plenty of laughter, and new friendships that made the whole experience even more memorable.
This adventure reminded us that pickleball is about so much more than just the game. It’s about the places it takes us, the people we meet, and the joy we create together.
Medals for all... Everyone is a winner!!!
